“For the first time, someone asked me what had happened to me — not just what symptoms I had.”

Myofascial Release Immersions

Step away from everyday life and give your body time to do deeper work.

Sometimes an hour here and there simply doesn’t feel like enough.

When you’ve been living with persistent pain, restriction or long-held patterns, it can take time for your body to begin letting go. And when treatment has to fit between work, errands, family responsibilities and everything else in life, there isn’t always much space to notice what is changing.

Our one- and two-week Myofascial Release Immersions offer something different. You’ll receive focused John F. Barnes Myofascial Release treatment each day, with time between sessions to rest, reflect, spend time in nature and simply be with what your body is experiencing.

This isn’t about cramming as much treatment as possible into your day. It’s about creating the time, space and continuity for deeper work to unfold.

Why an immersion?

If you’ve been dealing with the same issue for months or years, chances are you’ve already tried more than one thing. Maybe treatments have helped temporarily, but the tightness or pain eventually returned. Maybe you’ve made progress, but feel as though you’ve reached a plateau.

Or perhaps you know you need to give yourself some dedicated time away from everyday demands to focus on your own healing.

An immersion allows us to work with your body consistently over a concentrated period rather than waiting days or weeks between appointments. That continuity gives you an opportunity to explore patterns as they begin to change and to build on the work from one day to the next.

Just as importantly, you have time between treatments.

Time to rest.
Time to walk.
Time to notice.
Time to let things settle.

What Your Immersion Includes

2–3 Hours of Myofascial Release Treatment Each Day

The heart of your immersion is daily, individualized John F. Barnes Myofascial Release treatment. Rather than following a predetermined routine, treatment responds to what your body is showing us each day.

As one area begins to soften or change, another pattern may become apparent. Daily treatment allows us to continue following that process without losing momentum between sessions.

The work is gentle, sustained and whole-body focused.
There is nothing you need to force.
Your body sets the pace.
Red Light Therapy
Your immersion also includes time with a medical grade Rouge red light therapy panel.

Red light sessions are offered as a supportive part of your intensive and give you another opportunity to slow down, rest and care for your body between hands-on treatments.

A Self-Care Class

We want the work you do here to extend beyond the time you spend with us.

During your immersion, you’ll learn self-care techniques that you can continue using at home.
The goal isn’t to give you another complicated routine to keep up with.

It’s to help you become more aware of your own body and give you practical ways to continue supporting yourself after your intensive is finished.

The Space Between Treatments Matters Too

Healing doesn’t only happen on the treatment table.

That’s one of the reasons we’ve chosen to offer our immersions here, on our wooded property on Vancouver Island.

Once your treatment is finished for the day, you don’t need to immediately jump back into traffic, work or a long list of responsibilities.

You can slow down.

Sit outside.

Read.

Journal.

Lie in the hammock.

Walk through the woods.

Or simply do nothing for a while.

There is space here to let your experience settle rather than rushing straight into the next thing.

Nature Is Part of the Experience

Our property is surrounded by the forests and natural beauty of the Comox Valley. Nearby you’ll find walking trails through the woods, as well as a river with beautiful swimming spots when the weather is right. We’re also approximately 10 minutes from Miracle Beach and Saratoga Beach, giving you easy access to some of the area’s beautiful coastline.

How you spend your time outside treatment is entirely up to you.

You may want to explore.
You may want to sit under the trees.
You may want to sleep.
The intensive isn’t meant to become another busy schedule.
The quiet is part of it.

Stay Right on the Property

Optional Private Tiny Home — $120 per night

If you’re travelling for your immersion—or simply want to step completely away from everyday life—you can stay in our private tiny home right here on the property.

For an additional $120 per night, you’ll have your own comfortable space just steps away from your treatment experience.

The tiny home includes a full kitchen, private bathroom and shower, sleeping area, dining space and a covered outdoor deck surrounded by trees. There’s even a hammock waiting outside.

Wake up among the trees. Make your coffee. Have your treatment. Then spend the afternoon walking, resting, swimming, reading or simply allowing yourself some space.

No commute.
No hotel lobby.
No need to rush anywhere.
Just a quiet place to land for a while.

What a Day Might Look Like

There isn’t a rigid retreat schedule you have to follow.
Your immersion is intentionally spacious.

A typical day might begin slowly with breakfast and a quiet morning before your Myofascial Release treatment.

After treatment, you may spend some time resting or using the red light panel.
Later, you might head out for a walk through the woods, go to the river or beach, read on the deck, nap or simply notice how your body feels.

Some days, you may have one longer session, and on other days you may have two or even three sessions.

Somewhere during your immersion we’ll spend time together learning self-care techniques you can take home with you.
Then the next day, we continue from where your body left off.

Treatment. Rest. Integration. Then we begin again.

One Week or Two?

One-Week Immersion

A one-week immersion gives you concentrated time to step out of your usual routine and focus on your body with daily treatment and room for integration.

It may be a good fit if you’re new to intensive treatment or want a focused period of Myofascial Release without committing to a longer stay.

Two-Week Immersion

A two-week immersion offers more time for the process to unfold.
For people who have been living with persistent or complex patterns for a long time, the additional days provide more opportunity to continue building on changes from previous sessions while allowing plenty of space for rest and reflection.
We’ll discuss which option seems most appropriate for what you’re hoping to accomplish.

This Isn’t a Spa Retreat

There is plenty of peace and quiet here—but the purpose of an immersion isn’t simply relaxation.

It’s an opportunity to focus on yourself and your body in a way that can be difficult to do in everyday life. Some days may feel restful. Some may bring awareness to patterns you hadn’t noticed before.

You may experience changes physically, emotionally or simply in the way you relate to your body.

There is no particular experience you’re supposed to have.
And there is no pressure to make something happen.
We create the space.
We do the work.
And we listen to what your body is showing us.

Who Are Immersions For?

An immersion may be a good fit if you’ve been living with persistent pain, restriction or recurring patterns and feel that occasional treatment isn’t giving you the continuity you’re looking for.

It may also appeal to you if you’ve already done a great deal of work on yourself and feel ready to explore your body more deeply.

You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.
You simply need to be willing to slow down, pay attention and participate in the process.

A Different Kind of Time Away

Most vacations are filled with things to do. This experience is intentionally different. There are no sightseeing schedules to keep. No packed retreat itinerary. No expectation that every moment needs to be productive.

Instead, you’re giving yourself something many of us rarely receive:

Focused care and uninterrupted time to listen to your body.
Two to three hours of Myofascial Release each day.
Supportive red light therapy.
Self-care you can bring home with you.
Nature outside your door.

And enough quiet to let the experience sink in.

Your Immersion, Your Space

Choose a one- or two-week immersion and make the experience your own.
Stay nearby and come to the property each day, or make it a true retreat by staying in our private tiny home for $120 per night.

Come for the treatment.

Stay for the quiet.

Give yourself time to see what becomes possible when you stop squeezing your healing into the spaces left over in your life.

Releasing Patterns. Restoring Balance.
